Your Dream Vacation is Here

spring

Our spring season starts in between the months of April to May. The winter snow melts quite quickly and the frost leaves the ground.  The evenings are still a bit cool but afternoon temperatures are quite pleasant for hiking.

summer

Our summer season is from June to August.  The lack of daylight hours during the winter season is surely compensated during the summer season as the sun does not set until midnight every night.  Plenty of hours for long hikes, paddling, and fishing by our many lakes and rivers.  Mosquitoes are alive and thriving during this season and we can help by offering many suggestions to help you prepare for them.

autumn

Our picturesque autumn season is from the end of August to October.  Between August and September, snow has not yet fallen and the leafs from the Aspen, Alder and Cottonwood trees turn outstanding shades of yellow, orange and red.

winter

Our winter season begins at the beginning of November.  The snow begins to fall the end of October and temperatures start to cool significantly.  Wood stoves are started and cozying up to the warmth of the mesmerizing flicker of the fire is intoxicating.  Hallmark winter scenes abound.  Winter animals start to appear in the winter stillness.  Snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ice skating and ice fishing are local activities.  On clear nights, you can often see the Northern Lights and the temperature can be very low in January and February.

Later winter lasts from the beginning March to the end of April. Nights are still dark but the sunshine drastically increases each day. The harshest colds have eased up.  On sunny days, the conditions for snowshoeing, skiing and ice fishing are ideal.
